Just a few minutes ago I put an Alpha release online of STSDTS. But what is it?
It is a webservice and a build task to install solutions and activate features on a SharePoint farm with a Team Foundation Server (TFS) 2008. This is all just done with a single XML file that represents the solutions to install with its features and the deployment levels of it. It also comes with a test services but that one is still under construction. In a future release it is possible to run Build Verification Tests with that service based on the same XML used when calling the InstallFarm build task. The tests verify if the solutions are correctly installed and deployed and it verifies if the features are activated as expected.
